I hold a Master in Teaching degree and am a Washington State certified teacher, endorsed in secondary mathematics. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and discovered my love of mathematics, science, and the outdoors while attending Western Washington University for my undergraduate degree. These interests led me on a five year journey of living seasonally by working and travelling all over the world. During that time I taught outdoor environmental education, guided kayak expeditions, volunteered in South America, worked in restaurants, instructed snowboarding in Colorado, and kayaked the Inside Passage from Alaska to Washington. My passion for math and science education brought me back to Western Washington University in 2012 to complete my Master in Teaching degree and now am excited to be teaching mathematics and science at Nooksack Valley Middle School.
